Titewhai (90) was an outspoken political commentator and a civil rights campaigner for Maori. She was a member of the NZ Maori Council and also hosted a talkback show on Radio Waatea.
She fought tirelessly for the inclusion of Te Reo in schools and was actively involved in the Treaty of Waitangi protests which resulted in more benefits and inclusion for Maori. Her contribution will not be forgotten. RIP Ti.
