Colin (93) was a former NZ cricketer and sports broadcaster having played in one cricket test in March 1947 against England. He bowled 16 overs, but the Christchurch match was abandoned after days of rain. He went on to become both a radio cricket and rugby commentator and in 2007 was made a life member of the New Zealand Sports Journalists Awards.
