Profile Image

Sylvia inspired many, particularly women to become financially independent. She was a foundation employee of South Canterbury Savings Bank (1964) becoming branch manager at Westpac until her retirement in 1997. She was also the Charter President of the Zonta Club of Timaru from 1989, and a dedicated volunteer and fundraiser for community organisations. She had a special interest in the arts and loved animals, deriving much joy from her dogs and even using her own land as a horse sanctuary.
