Willie (55) was a NZ born Tongan rugby player. He played for NZ and Italy, and captained the Tongan team at the 1995 Rugby World Cup.
After his retirement he began a career in broadcasting, hosting on Radio Sport, and latterly he was a full-time TV commentator for Sky Sport.
He will be forever remembered as a “proud West Aucklander” who was generous and calm under pressure.
