Venessa (40) died after being hit by a bus while jogging in central Wellington. The accident happened on Willis Street, an area that has had several accidents involving buses and pedestrians. A massage theraphist for world mountain runners and pilates instructor, she was also was a former New Zealand representative duathlon runner and member of the Wellington Scottish Athletics Club. She had been completing her thesis for a Master of Health Science degree at Massey at the time of the accident. Venessa was originally from Christchurch.
