Legendy Wallabies player Cyril (84) played 26 tests for Australia from 1946 - 1956 and is regarded as one of the greatest No.9s that Australia ever produced, along with Ken Catchpole and Nick Farr-Jones. He started his rugby career at Merewether-Carlton, Australia making his first-grade debut in 1944. He represented NSW 36 times and is the namesake of the Cyril Burke Medal, which was struck in 1986 and is presented each year to the top player in First Division.
