Screen siren, Elizabeth (79) was a two-time Oscar winner and was, in her prime, one of the world's most beautiful women. Better known for her famous films National Velvet, Giant, Cleopatra, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and The Taming of the Shrew; she was also well- known for her eight marriages, two of which where to the infamous actor Richard Burton. She had a long history of ill-health and well publisised drug and alcohol addiction issues. Although born in Britain, her parents where American and by virute she held both British and American nationality which helped her film career. She is survived by her four children.
