Martin (63) was a well known Seddon local who sadly died in a gyrocopter crash at Marlborough’s Omaka Airfield. He was the only one on the craft at the time. Described as "“larger-than-life enthusiastic farmer, always with a smile and a bit of humour” he was also a member of the Seddon Lions Club, and the Flaxbourne A&P Show committee, of which he had been president.
