Linkin (58) will be remembered as courageous and selfless. He entered Lake Wakatipu to assist his ten year old son who was in distress, but then disappeared. His son was rescued, but a Police search recovered Linkin’s body the following day from the bottom of the lake, approximately 50 metres from the shore.
