Karnin (15) tragically died during a school caving trip at Abbey Caves in Northland. The controversial school trip continued despite heavy rain warnings and sadly this decision led to Karnin being trapped in a cave that rapidly filled with water. 14 other students survived the ordeal. RIP Karnin, taken too soon.
