  • Special people

Sometimes you meet people that stick in your mind and you are never sure why and then there's others who leave a lasting impression and you can pinpoint that moment. Maureen was one of those people. It was in her later years and I was a tad nervous meeting her but as she was prompted to remember her wedding and children, you could see the sparkle in her eye and the great joy she felt for her family. On the few occasions I visited her after that, she didn't remember me but I was always greeted with a warm smile and firm hand grasp. I know how much she was loved by Christine and Derek, and she was Brian's everything. Cherish the memories .... they are a soft cushion for us to fall on in times of loss.

  • Our memories of mum

Mum was a wonderful lady – a fabulous Wife, mother, mother in law, grandmother, aunt and friend - kind, full of love and spirit, completely unselfish and she valued family above all else.

We all loved her very much and will miss her terribly.
    Thanks for everything mum.
