Technology commentator Paul will be remembered for his his contribution to the heritage sector in many New Zealand libraries, archives and museums. He developed the early Auckland City Library website and others such as the Waitangi Tribunal, Katherine Mansfield House, Chartwell Collection, Colin McCahon House and the Auckland Readers and Writers Festival websites. With a Scottish accent he frequently shared his thoughts on national radio and was well regarded for his knowledge on computers and the digital age, writing regular columns in The Dominion. He died suddenly of leukaemia leaving behind his wife and daughter.
