Search Tips

    • Our site is designed to help you find the person you’re looking for as quickly as possible.

Some of the tips below may enhance your search results.

I haven’t got any search results, why?

You’ll need to expand your search but first check your spelling.

      Tip.

Enter the last name field only. Example: You are looking for “Liz SMITH” enter “SMITH” only and all the SMITH listings will show. Remember, the person you are looking for could be listed as Elizabeth, Betty, Bette or Lisbet SMITH.

Now sort your search results alphabetically or, if a recent listing, by most recent whichever is most helpful for you.

      Tip.

Book a listing alert. Enter the details of the person you are looking for and we will email the moment it is entered on our site.

I have got too many results, help!

You need to refine your results.

      Tip.

Enter a more specific date search.

Try a short name that the person was known by. For example: You’ve found a lot of “Richard BROWN” listings. If Rick or Dick or Rich were his commonly used name this may have been submitted to our system.

Sort your search results alphabetically or, if a recent listing, by most recent whichever is most helpful for you.

I only know the person by their short name and not their last name.

      Tip.

Enter their short name (nick name) in first name field. Example: Your friend was Elizabeth SMITH but she was well known as Beth. Enter “Beth” in the first name field. Then enter “A” in last name field to search all listings for Beth’s with last names starting with A.

Our system automatically shows the most recent listing at the top of the page. You can chose to the view alphabetically option.

Then systematically go through the alphabet A – Z in the last name field.

I’m not sure if the person I’m looking for will be on your site yet?

      Tip.

Book a listing alert. Enter the details of the person you are looking for and we will email the moment a match is entered on our site.
