Bill (73) was a popular NZ artist whose painting themes centered around social and environmental issues. He was part of the Gothic movement at the end of the 1960's at which time he had graduated from the Ilam School of Fine Arts in Christchurch. However it wasn't until 1980 he began to exhibit, and 1987 when he had his first solo exhibition. Waiting for Buller (1993), Fall of Icarus (1995) and Bone Yard, Open Home (2009) are some of his best known works. RIP Bill your art is a monumental lasting legacy.
