Profile Image

Lawrence (30) was helping a friend get his four-wheel-drive vehicle out of the Wairau River, Onamalutu, when on his way home he tragically rolled his own vehicle, a tractor. It is not known what caussed the accident but there is a suggestuon of sun strike being to blame. Helping others was not unusual for the bron and bred Marlborough man. He joined the Seddon Volunteer Fire Brigade when he was only 16-years-old and had been the operations supervisor at Matua Wines. He is survived by his parents and two older siblings.
