Anne (73) was tragically the first NZer to die from the COVID-19 global pandemic. The quiet, much loved grandmother barely travelled more than 5km from her home and this highlighted how easily the virus could spread. Due to the nationwide compulsory Level 4 lockdown on the day of her admission (25th March 2020) Anne's family opted to stay with her at Grey Base Hospital. She is survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. RIP Anne
