  • 4 Years

It has been four years since the disastrous day. As we look back, we remember you and the 184 other victims of the earthquake that shook the city, country, and world. You were and still are deeply missed by your family, friends, and all others that you knew. Remember that everyone you know is doing well. Rest in peace Lalaine.

  • laine my friend,

...you are admired of your unique behavior....so simple....jolly....caring...not only for a friend but most of all for family...those memories and laughters...we and our friends shared during our high school days will be treasured forever...for four years...we have been together in class, going home by walking...eating "cornick"during breaktime...playing basketball during intramurals...story telling since we were then of the same situation in the family....because of these...you are more loved..cared...and treasured by all of us...i know you are already with HIM....TILL WE MEET AGAIN MY LOVING FRIEND.....

  • My dear Lalaine

It really upsets me why you have to leave so soon.It was'nt fair... You are nearly there. We've talk about it that you will slow down once you are over it and I know you are nearly there. Why???

But only He knows...and that we the living don't really have to question why... as we know nothing, it's only Him. In His time in His ways, when are we going to get the reward
    He promised.

I know He chooses to set you free, free of all the worries that life on earth has to offer. And that eases the pain with your passing to think that you are finally with Him.

It's not easy that you have left me on my own. We only have eachother to let go of our small sentiments at work sometimes...We have a little bit of laughter but not much as we haven't got much time. You're always busy, busy to make money, that is why I am really looking forward to the day that we can enjoy a bit of a life for us and then, the last day that you turn your back and wave to me saying "Goodbye Ate" I never realize that was it.

Farewell to you my dear, I know sometimes I'm a bit hard on you telling you the things that really needs to be done as we are told; but that is because I really care and look after you, as I am older ha ha! I am your Big sister thank you very much.

I love you, your memories will always linger in my heart.
    Love, ate Gilda

    Our little lalaine
How we miss you so much we could always count on you. Days go by and we don't see your sweet little face with your noodles with egg on top, in the staff room at 6.30am, how we miss that smell.

We talk about you every day knowing you are in a safe place and how much we miss you. You have left us now and we have got a big hole in our hearts you will not be forgotten, love you heaps, say hi to all the residents that we have cared for over the last few years with your care.

  • Dear Lalaine,

Sometimes you never really realize how much you miss something until its gone. I keep expecting to see you first thing in the morning with your milo and biscuits and I can still see you peering over your steering wheel of your car. But alas no more. Its not the same. You were a dedicated and hard worker. Never missing a shift and always willing to take on more. You will be greatly missed. "You will be given the robes of princes, You'll be flying on golden wings, You will live in pavilioins of splendour and be surrounded by beautiful things." Lalaine, you have run your race. Rest in peace. Until we meet again. Wendy x x

  • Dear little Lalaine,
I'm finding it so hard to post something as tears keep welling up and the knot in my throat is making it hard to think.
But must say we all so admired you and your quiet sweet ways, hard work, and reliability, who gave so much to the people of a different culture, while no doubt missing your own dearly.
Will miss seeing you first thing at 6.30am as you sat with your morning milo before your shift with your red, black and white diamond cardi on.
R.I.P. Lalaine, we will not forget you.
