  • 4 Years

It has been four years since the disastrous day. As we look back, we remember you and the 184 other victims of the earthquake that shook the city, country, and world. You were and still are deeply missed by your family, friends, and all others that you knew. Remember that everyone you know is doing well. Rest in peace Husam.

  • Condolence - Dr. Husan Sahab

Dr. Husan Sahab was not simply an experienced medical doctor, he was also a man with heart with full of kindness. He treated me with prescribing medicines and cured me with caring and friendly love. It is big loss of Christchurch communities that he is no more with us. My deepest condolences go out to Dr Al-Ani's family and friends for his loss. Wishing you, Dr. Husan Sahab, for your peaceful rest.

  • One of the most amazing people I have ever met.

Dr Husam helped me when no one else could. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't be where I am today. He understood me. I feel so lucky to have known him. I thought of him as another family member. He was just so amazing. I will never find another Doctor like him. R.I.P angel I will never forget you.

  • Such a nice man and doctor.

I saw De Husam a few times. Once as a patient and the other times with my sister. I feel horrible because one day when I saw him I was in a bad mood, and I don't want him to think I was mad at him or anything. You know those people that make you smile when you see them? Just because they're so kind. That description fits Dr Husam. He talked about his family so much and was always smiling. I've cried so many times. If you ever meet someone like this, please don't take them for granted. This man is not someone you would call a 'shrink', he was good at his job and had a passion for it. Once you got to know him you would think of him as a friend. When you were around him he would give you support and boost your confidence. Thank you, Dr Husam.

  • To Dr Husam's family. Although I did not visit Dr Husam personally, my daughter did and had said what a lovely caring doctor he was - how kind in spirit and attentive to her concerns. I often used to see him in the waiting room as I waited for my doctor and thought what a lovely manner he had. We are so sad for you and for the loss of his gift to us all. Wishing you peace.

  • A very friendly and caring Doctor

Thank you for being a very friendly and caring Doctor. Even though I only met you once, I will remember you.

I first met Doctor Husam in the CTV building on the 18th of January 2011. He made me feel very welcome and relaxed within seconds of being in the room with him. I still have a perscription and receipt from my appointment with Doctor Husam on that day. I will keep them unless of course his family are interested in having them.

My deepest heart felt wishes and condolences go out to family and friends. He will be very deeply missed. To find Doctors of his calibre and stature all together in one practice was truly a blessing and will be sorely missed.

To borrow some words I wrote about Dr Allan Sinclair..."to see a man leave his land of birth to strike out into the unknown. To move his family across the seas to another nation and there to take on their ills, sicknesses, fears and burdens as his own. This is the calibre of the person that was found within the walls of 192 Gloucester St as we will remember them all as 'The Clinic'."

Thank you for leaving your homeland to come to our small country on the back side of the pacific. Thankyou Dr Husam and thank you to those family members that by him he is survived.
