Maurice (89) was one of NZ's most distinguished architects whose work spanned over 50 years. Alongside Sir MIles Warren, Maurice founded Warren and Mahoney a successful partnership which saw the design of many Christchurch city's recognisable buildings, many of which were sadly obliterated iin the Christhcurch earthquakes. His firm won hundreds of awards and he became an Officer of the NZ Order of Merit for services to architecture in 2010. More recently he was awarded the NZ Institute of Architects inaugural Distinguished Fellowship in 2017. He is survived by his wife, four children and their families.
