Suzy (80) will be forever remembered for her iconic cafe - Suzy's Coffee Lounge - which was one of the earliest of it's kind in Wellington. The business opened in 1964 by Suzy, a dutch immigrant , and husband Tom. Suzy's flair for hospitality, her unique colourful personality and energy made the Lounge successful and known for its "arty and intellectual atmosphere". Sadly she died of lung cancer just 11 months after Tom.
