Doug (83) was one of New Zealand's most respected chicken breeders who became infamous when he appeared in a 2017 documentary - Pecking Order. He will be forever remembered for his life-long dedication to poultry clubs and A & P societies, and his natural ability to charm audiences worldwide with a feisty personality and great sense of humour. A life member and past president of Christchurch Poultry, Bantam and Pigeon Club, he is survived by his wife, three children and five grandchildren. RIP Doug.
