NZ actress and director Elizabeth (70) was well known for her work in theatre in Christchurch. Notably, in 2009 she had directed the Repertory Theatre's production of the Roger Hall comedy Social Climbers. She died of pneumonia, which resulted from a chest infection after being diagnosed with a brain absess only weeks earlier.
