Peggy (67) was shot down at her workplace, Work and Income NZ, office in Ashburton. Peggy has been described as a "happy, friendly and neat" person who loved her job and was a vital part of her community. The tragedy unfolded whe a client of WINZ entered the building with a shotgun. The incident claimed alos claimed the life of Peggy's fellow colleague Leigh Cleveland (55).

    I have knowen Peggy for the last 15 years through Winz she was my case worker for a number of years [Invalids Benefit] she was always a very kind freindly and helpful.
