Morris (62) was attacked by a swarm of wasps while collecting firewood at Kenepuru Sound, Marlborough. He and his nephew were cutting wood when they upset a wasp's nes, both men ran in opposite directions. The wasp's followed Morris and he was found on a nearby road dead having suffered a fatal heart attack soon after the wasps stung him. He is survivied by his wife and two children.
