Sunday 10th May 2015 is a special day where mothers in New Zealand are recognised and celebrated. Mothers are important even when they are no longer with us. They have been teachers, friends, providers, comforters, listeners, disciplinarians and caregivers. Each is unique. If you have lost your mother you can light a candle, refresh flowers and even leave a tribute to honour her on this page.

Mum. Always there when needed. Always there to listen and do what you could. Very true, once you don't have a Mum here to share the day to day things with, you realise how treasured they were when they were here. Lots of memories every day. And so many things you would like to see today. With lots of love from us All. xox

Grandmothers are such wonderful people, words of wisdom and always a full jelly-bean jar. You are certainly missed in our lives.

Oma, I am so pleased you got to meet my daughter and I have a wonderful video of her feeding you apples. Every night I say the prayer you spoke to me whenever I visited. There were times when i was old enough to see your humour and when you laughed I felt happy to see you that way. You were very kind to your grandchildren. I was lucky to be one of them. Remembering you because you appear in my life every day,

  • I miss you

Mum, I miss you. I am sorry I wasn't with you when you needed me and I am so grateful that you were with me whenever I needed you. Seems unfair, but I know you understood. You always understood. You are my role model. I love you.
