Neil (60) was a traffic cop who, over 35 years of service, likely saved the lives of hundreds on Waikato roads without them even knowing it. Sergeant Mansill was also well respected by his colleagues and hundreds turned up for his funeral in Huntly. He sadly died of cancer but will be remembered as a big friendly guy full of character. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son.
