Missing Christchurch mother Vanessa (27) was found murdered after disappearing for three days in the company of a suspect in a sex case. When she went missing from her home, along with her seven year old daughter, it caused a massive manhunt around Christchurch and the Lyttelton hills and shoreline. Vanessa's daughter was found walking in a North Canterbury paddock a day later and the accused was then captured by the armed offenders squad using road spikes after he failed to stop for Police that same day.
