Bob (84), a former radio announcer and sports broadcaster, began his career in 1960 when he went with the All Black to South Africa. He commentated rugby for 20 years amd was, at one stage responsible for four radio stations. He will be remembered as one of the most accurate callers that the game has ever had in this country. He died after suffering from Alzheimers disease and is survived by his wife, two children and several grandchildren.
