Elsa tragically died in the devastating Christchurch Earthquake. She was the academic manager for the Kings Education language school in the CTV building when the 6.4 quake hit the city. She is one of scores of people believed to have been in the building when it collapsed and caught fire.

    I was so devastated when I heard about the terrible earthquake in Christchurch. I cannot believe that you and Lia are not among us. I will always remember you and I will never forget your support in the most difficult moments of my life. You were a great person, a very professional one. Rest in peace, dear Elsa!

  • Elsa and I were in the same class at Christchurch Teachers College in 1992. I have such fond memories of Elsa and her passion for teaching. She had such a big heart and was a popular member of the class. We had a lot of laughs together - she was such a special lady. Words cannot express my sorrow for her family and friends.
