As New Zealand's oldest immigrant Eric would have seen many changes in his 104 years, not least migrating from Southhampton, England just two years ago. He was 102 when he and his New Zealand-born wife Doris ( 90) migration to New Zealand involved travelling around the world by cruise ship to arrive early in 2008. The media coverage on their arrival was significant. Eric first wife Joan died in 1991. He met Doris while she was researching her ancestry and the pair fell in love while touring New Zealand together.
