Bill (74) died following five days wandering around Auckland's northern suburbs. He had gone missing from the Albany rest home he lived at and his family were increasingly concerned his health and wellbeing due to a medical condition he suffered from. A well publicised search was undertaken and was found alive at the North Shore Golf Club five days later by a member of the public. Sadly he died six days later in hospital.

We are very saddened at Bills passing. although we hadn't seen Bill for a couple of years we had many happy times staying with him in Melbourne and him staying with us here in Auckland . I also worked with him for years at Air NZ. We had many wines & g& ts together. he was such fun and a great raconteur. We will never forget him . RIP Bill and all our sympathy to Greg Steven & Glen & all the grandchildren. Sheila & Rick.
