One of New Zealand's greats
I watched your funeral today Paul, it was incredibly moving, especially the eulogy by John Hawksby. The amount of people that showed up in the cathedral and the people that spoke were a testament to your life and how much you loved and were loved. Your immense talent for broadcasting and journalism was legendary and I don't think we'll see the likes in this country again. Rest in Peace.

FROM A FAN WHO ENJOYED YOUR COMPANY OVER THE AIRWAVES.
THANKYOU FOR THE VERY MANY HOURS OF COMPANY AND FOR THE ANSWERS YOU WERE ABLE TO GET OUT OF YOUR INTERVIEWS. I ALSO ENJOYED IT WHEN YOU WENT "MOA" HUNTING.GOD SPEED ON YOUR WAY SIR PAUL. LIFE IS NOT MEASURED BY THE NUMBER OF BREATHS WE TAKE, BUT BY THE NUMBER OF TIMES IT TAKES OUR BREATH AWAY.

From one step kid to another
Having recently lost my cherished step dad to cancer (he didn't let the fact I wasn't his deter his fathering and support) I just want to send my love to Mille and the Holmes family at this time of grief and loss. What a great guy and awesome example of a committed father. Bless you all as you travel the road ahead with your loss
