Bob (86) lost is wife Kaye (62) in 2005 after she went for a short walk in the Remutaka Forest. She was never found despite extensive search efforts by police, search and rescue, the army and her family. Bob never gave up and took every opportunity to mention her in the hope someone would come forward with information. Sadly he died after a short battle with cancer without the closure he so desperately sought for over 13 years..
