Dasha (31) was found murdered in a in a remote South Canterbury forestry plantation. She had been working and hitchiking around New Zealand when she was picked up by a known sex offender. She had been on a working holiday from the Czech Republic and she, and her murderer, were both found dead by a group of riders participating in a fundraising trail ride neaar Waimate.
