    • 4 Years

It has been four years since the disastrous day. As we look back, we remember you and the 184 other victims of the earthquake that shook the city, country, and world. You were and still are deeply missed by your family, friends, and all others that you knew. Remember that everyone you know is doing well. Rest in peace Helen.

    • In Memory

I have only heard this news confirmed. I w at was at schoolhool and Varsity with Helen. She had the most dry wicked sense of humour. I remember a story of Helen's that she really fancied a friend of her bothers at a BBQ the family put on and she was talking and smiling with him thinking she was being funny and charming, meanwhile in the background her mum is waving and distracting frantically. Helen was getting really annoyed and in ... for God's sake mum leave me alone! It was only later whence looked in t and saw he mirror and saw she had a green pea shell warped around her front tooth that she realised her mum's frantic background waving was trying to help her! This story really captures Helen! I am so sad to hear she is gone. I haven't lived in nz for over 25 years. I had put son photos up of Helen from years ago at school and Varsity before this happened on Facebook to share with nz relatives etc and if the family would like to see them please just send me a Facebook message. love Melissa Callanan .... Rest in Peace.

    • Helen

You were an inspiration Helen. A wife, mother and friend. We share Brett, William and George's sadness. We remember your smiling face, your 'can do' attitude, school and parish support, your number plate, coffee at Crisp, sitting at sports days, you loved the colour or my green jacket; I think of you every time I wear it. Rest in the palm of God's hand.

    • May you rest in peace

Helen Chambers.. It seems like yesterday when we met, but it was a good 5 years ago! You were the mum that would always come on camp, or always take us to sports or the mum that would always help anybody out! You were amazing in ever single way possible. You always had such a big smile on your face, and it lit up everyones day! You were an amazing wife, mother and friend! You always were smiling and cheerful! William and george are two amazing boys, and i know you were super proud of them and always will be! You will be that shining star up in the sky, looking down on Brett and your two beautiful boys! It was hard saying good-bye to you today Helen, but you will always be remembered! Thank you for making a difference in my life, you will always have a piece of my heart! One day we will meet again, but untill now Helen. May you rest in Peace!

    • Poem

      Helen Chambers:

You were a gift, Here on earth,
Your radient smile inspired people, right from your birth.
You raised to sons, that rise above the clouds,
They excel in everthing, I know you will be proud.
Even though we wont be seeing your beautiful face again,
We know your soul is in Gods kingdom, In which you will reign.
I promise to support your family, in what ever they may need,
They will be looked after, even if its just a yummy feed.
Your spirit remains with us forever,
You were so beautiful, so charming, so clever.
Thank you for letting me be apart of you life,
Even though its hard seeing your family go through such strife.
Though you were taken from us way too early,
We will remember everything about you, Your hair- so blonde and curley.
You were a gift from god above,
Everyone you met, you treated with dignity and love.
May you rest in peace. May you rest in peace.

-Love forever and always, Mikayla Wieblitz! xxx

    • An amazing person

Helen, you were an amazing person, didn't have a lot of time together this last year but have some amazing memories of time spent with you. Yes, I was one of the ones you put mascara on in the middle of the nite on our girls weekend away.........thanks!!
Our time started at the Christ the King music sessions with the kids when they were about 4 yrs old - fun times.
You have done an amazing job as a mum - your boys will do your proud.
Look over them & keep your mascara to yourself ok!!
      Fond memories.
