Daryl Ainsley

Died 12 May 2018

Profile Image

Daryl (52) father of three and a Central Otago speedway identity died after his car went over a cliff in Tautuku peninsula, in the Caitlins. He had earlier helped two friends that night whose vehicle got stuck, they expected to meet him back at the bach he owned later. He never returned. It is thought the rough terrain, lack of light and a blind spot may have been the cause of the accident. He was a well-known Cromwell resident, sportsman and had his own business – Ainsley Shearing.
