Warwick (48) was murdered in Budapest where he had been competing at the Triathlon ITU World Championships. He was found on a city street after being stabbed. He had spent many years in South America and Europe establishing language schools and adventure programmes. When he died, he was representing Ecuador in the 45-49 age group. He planned to return to New Zealand later in the year to climb Mount Cook. He is survived by a son, daughter and a grandson.
