Journalist and author, Pat (88) will me remembered for his stories in the 1970's about the Mr Asia drug syndicate and the Arthur Allan Thomas case. The latter which, after attending the retrial of Thomas' case in 1973 when he was the assistant editor of the Auckland Star, he wrote a book "Trial by Ambush" which campaigned for Thomas to be pardoned.
